Our journey from St. John's to Khoa Lak, Thailand took 42 hours. Our route was St. John's, Toronto, Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Phuket, and finally, Khao Lak. The trip was long and sleep was scarce, we tried sleeping on flights but they were full of human noise. The family kind of human noise, all good. our biggest lay over in Abu Dhabi allowed enough time for us all to get six hours sleep. needless to say we have become a mixed group of companions with different needs and approaches. As we settle into being a family traveling together we become closers and our differences emerge.
