Chiang Rai Temple Tour

Our second day in Chiang Rai and I convinced to boys to go on a self-directed temple tour. Lisa has disapeared into a three day spa retreat, so Lucas, Kai and I get too party. So last night we went to a local movie theatre to watch Rogue One, a Star Wars story (yes we found it in english with Thai subtitles, not that bold... yet). And on our second party day alone, we visit temples. We identified four temples within walking distance of downtown Chiang Rai and set off by foot. I love the peacefulness of the Wat, the Lanna Architecture, and the detailing put on the temples. We visited four temples;

• Wat Phra Waew - this wat contains the amazing emerald Buddha (and a replica made of Canadian Jade) 
• Wat Phra Sing
• Wat Mung Muang
• Wat Ming Muang
