The transition ended with a muddy road

With mixed feelings, this morning we left Chiang Mai and flew to Bangkok, then flew to Krabi... paid too much for corn flakes at the bus station (well the station is really a questionable restaurant). Maybe they call it Krabi for a reason. We then took a two hour mini-van ride with a risk-taking driver. We rode on two ferries (well really they are barges with engines) and the risk-taking driver didn't take the final risk of taking us down a muddy driveway. So he dropped us off at the top of the public access road due to the road to the accommodation being too muddy. We carried 42 kilos of baggage 150 metres to our sublime, restful accommodation. I like to arrive at a new location at night. Though, it is definitely not the best to travel to unknown locations with kids in the dark... but there is something really special about waking up at a new spot you have never really seen before. And enjoying the magic of a new location first thing in the morning. Ahhh... the wonder of it all. Love to you all!
